The most important ceramic trends for 2023

16 December, 2022

Trends in interior design, and more specifically in the ceramic sector, are constantly changing. As the new year begins, it’s worth taking a look ahead and anticipating what kind of products, finishes and aesthetics will dominate over the next 12 months. Here are some of the ceramic trends that will come on strong in 2023.

Happy designs

Symphony Sky 60×120 cm. Botanic Symphony Sky 60×120 cm. Floor: Unik Ash Natural 60 x 60 cm

Among the predominant minimalist aesthetics of recent times, a trend is emerging that contrasts with this more neutral and conservative style. Cheerful colors and lively designs will take over a large number of spaces this year, with a renewing effect that will offer new possibilities. One of the best exponents of this new trend is Symphony, a collection with a large number of colors, decorations and reliefs that also enhances the white body models in 60×120 cm. format, a type of product presented a few months ago at Cersaie.

Reliefs with movement

Montmartre Sable 60 x 120 cm. Illusion Montmartre Terre 60 x 120 cm. Floor: Foresta Noce 20×120

In a line that gives continuity to the trend of decorating ambients with bright colors and cheerful designs, the walls will be filled with reliefs that will propose very interesting shapes, patterns and effects. One of the best examples of this new trend is Illusion Montmartre, a series of white body that also has other reliefs and an infinity of colors and decorations.

Natural inspirations

Cutstone Smoke Lapatto 60 x 120 cm

The effects of natural materials will continue to be very present in ceramics, but increasingly with more innovative patterns and textures that travel between minimalism and more daring styles. A great example of this is Cutstone, one of our latest novelties, which presents a design based on the neutral tones of stone, but with a very marked veining that gives it dynamism and character.

The rise of outdoors: thickened ceramics

Stoneland Grey 60 x 120 cm. Floor: Stoneland Grey 120 x 120 cm. Espesorado Anti-slip

Thick ceramic tiles are here to stay. The desire to make the most of outdoor areas and turn them into aesthetic and functional placer in the home has led us to develop more and more formats of this type of product. Stoneland, one of our latest novelties, offers exceptional natural aesthetics and is also available in various formats with a thickness of 20 mm. Pieces of great resistance, durability and with a non-slip finish to give the best performance in the most demanding contexts.
