Baldocer has taken a further step towards achieving a more efficient and sustainable energy consumption model with the installation and operation of a new photovoltaic system located on the roof of its plant 3, dedicated to large-size production. In total, 10,591 new solar panels with a power of 450 Wp cover approximately half of the 58,000 m² roof area of the facility. The new self-consumption system will generate a figure close to 6,000,000 kWh per year, representing between 25% and 30% of the total plant’s consumption.
This is not the first time Baldocer has embraced solar energy production for self-consumption. The over 10,000 new panels installed by the company in plant 3 are in addition to another 7,000 located in its warehouse in Vilafamés, which started operating in July 2021.
In this way, Baldocer continues to move towards a more independent, sustainable, and efficient energy future.
